PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE SUBMITTING PIX OR INQUIRING!

The whole submission process is very informal. Please help us to keep it that way by following our suggestions. Submissions that do not meet our simple guidelines will not be accepted.

Also, we strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the photographic style of Barracuda Magazine before submitting photos.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not "scouting" for models and setting up shoots. We are looking for finished, high-resolution photos only.

High resolution means 8 x 10 inches at 300 dpi. Sending lower resolution jpegs as previews is fine. But a higher-resolution version will be needed for print.

If you are a model seeking modelling opportunities, the photographers we already work with all have their websites listed with their photo credits in the magazine.

DO SEND US High-quality, modest, cute, fun, retro, pin-up-style photos with a look from the 1940s through the 1960s.

DO NOT SEND US Punk, goth, fetish, tattoo, bondage, hardcore, gross, outrageous, "in your face," pornesque, raunchy, modern, modelly or fashiony-looking photos. This not what we do. There are plenty of other magazines and websites looking for pix like these. We say this not to be smart alecks, rather we say it to try to save us both a bit of time and effort.

DO NOT SEND US grainy cell phone camera photos, photos you took by holding your arm out and taking a picture of yourself or photos of you hanging out, really drunk with your friends in a bar.

DO SEND US submissions as jpegs attached to an email.

DO NOT SEND US a link to a website or your myspace page, where we have to then follow links or hunt around to find your pics or portfolio or where we will have to sign up, sign in or join a group to see your portfolio.

DO NOT MAIL US any originals or anything you need to get back. We will not be responsible for the return or safekeeping of art or photos.
